Was Containment Successful?

In your opinion was Containment a success or failure in your Cold War Event? Why or why not?
• I think containment was kind of a success in the Korean War because, the U.S was successfully able to take half of Korea and when the communist side tried to take over, the U.S did everything in it's power to stop it. It worked and Korea was back to how it was after it was splitted, stopping the communism spreading further.
